Setting up the DNS records for your domain to point to the site you've created with our Website Builder is the final step of bringing the website online.
Note: This configuration happens automatically and there is nothing required on your end if you are using our Nameservers:
ns1.incauthorityweb.com
ns2.incauthorityweb.com
If you are using a 3rd party DNS provider, however, you will need to log into their control panel and manually configure your DNS to reflect the following:
1. Your main A record (for "domain.tld" or "@" depending on your DNS provier's system) will need to be pointed to the following IP address:
Record Type: A
domain.tld --> 52.2.192.9
2. You must also create a CNAME type record for your "www" traffic, which should look like this:
Record type: CNAME
www.domain.tld --> www.domain.tld.cdn.cloudflare.net (for users who activated Website Builder before Nov 21st 2021)
www.domain.tld --> sitebuilderhostsite.net (for users who activated Website Builder after Nov 21st 2021)
Important note: It is recommended that you create this CNAME record prior to publishing your site as it is responsible for generating your site's SSL certificate and facilitating your secure connection.
Keep in mind that altering existing DNS records may have a propagation time of approximately 4 to 6 hours before the changes are applied fully over the web.
